Gail Allen is a professional and strategic Human Resources professional with over 20 years’ experience in healthcare. She has a broad knowledge of all key HR disciplines, including employee relations, coaching and conflict management, training, policy development, and workforce planning.
In her current role, Gail utilizes her expertise to support physicians, senior leadership, and management staff for SMSC clients. She is equally comfortable serving as the primary point of contact or in a supporting role for employees. She provides counseling and coaching to establish and promote a high level of employee engagement and satisfaction. Gail is an effective communicator with the ability to cultivate valuable partnerships with employees and management through collaboration, trust, and accountability.
Prior to joining Spectrum, Gail worked as a strategic manager and business partner for 17 years with Maine Medical Partners and Maine Medical Center, part of the MaineHealth system. During that time, she successfully transitioned employees through several practice acquisitions, managed employee relations, and provided consistent guidance and advice on staffing, retention, compensation, disciplinary, and performance issues.
Gail is a Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP) and has earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI. She is also an active member of the Human Resources Association of Southern Maine and SHRM.
