About Lucy
Lucy Bauer is a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) and an anesthesiology practice director. Her clinical background allows her to bring a unique perspective to her administrative leadership role. She is a skilled communicator who fosters collaboration among diverse groups of people. She has a demonstrated track record of developing and implementing initiatives that improve quality and patient experience.
Lucy began her career as a CRNA at various hospitals in southern Maine before becoming the director of surgical services at Northern Light Mercy Hospital, a multispecialty, 100-bed hospital in Portland, Maine. Since that time, she has served in multiple leadership roles for hospital-based surgery services, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), and anesthesiology practice groups.
Lucy earned a BA in English at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, followed by an MS in Nursing at Pace University in Pleasantville, New York. She received her nurse anesthesia training in a joint program between the University of New England (UNE) in Biddeford, Maine, and Northern Light Mercy Hospital.
