About Kara

Kara Fiske has more than 29 years of leadership experience in the healthcare industry, including in the areas of orthopaedics, sleep diagnostics, oncology, home health, hospice, skilled nursing, dialysis, interdisciplinary physician practice, and surgery centers. She applies this diverse experience as a practice director where she oversees operations with an emphasis on continuous improvement, team unity, and systemic approaches to enhancing quality of care and outcomes.

Kara also serves as the President of Cara Compliance & Consulting, CCC, where she helps healthcare organizations assess and improve their operations, financial health, regulatory compliance, and accreditation goals.

Before joining Spectrum Healthcare Partners, Kara was the Chief Compliance Officer for Mirror, Inc., CEO of Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center, and Regional Director of Operations for Community Health Systems, with home health and hospice sites across multiple states.

Kara holds an MBA degree from Kansas Wesleyan University as well as an undergraduate BA degree in Sociology.  She is board-certified through the American College of Medical Practice Executives (Medical Group Management Association) and holds certifications in Physical Fitness & Nutrition and Six Sigma. She has received several national awards for her work.

Kara also served in the United States Army, where she learned the value of diversity, transparency, and camaraderie, the importance of each individual on a team, and that the strength of a team is integral to the strength of an organization. In all her roles, she emphasizes accountability, compliance, holistic team building, and continuous improvement in quality of care.
