About Laurie
Laurie Skalski is an accomplished leader with nearly two decades of experience in benefits and compensation specifically in the healthcare industry. She has a range of expertise, including compensation benchmarking, benefit program design, analysis and administration, retirement plan administration, HR compliance, vendor relationship management, leave of absence management, and HR information systems. She currently leads the benefits and compensation consulting service line for SMSC, including overseeing total rewards efforts for Spectrum Healthcare Partners, a multispecialty physician practice with more than 200 physicians.
Prior to joining Spectrum, Laurie served as the corporate benefits coordinator for MaineHealth, the largest health system in northern New England with over 19,000 employees. During her time there, she served as a resource and provided guidance to all benefits specialists throughout the MaineHealth system, managed benefit vendor relationships, led implementation of new benefit programs, developed benefits communication materials, and coordinated the transition of benefits for all mergers and acquisitions.
Laurie is a Professional in Human Resources through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and is a SHRM Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resources Management.
